Dr. Hermann Ulrich Honemeyer
Dr. Hermann completed his PhD in radiological topic (1980), his Master degree in Advanced Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Dubrovnik International University, Croatia (2010 – 2011), and his Master degree in Business and Administration at Swiss Business School (2015 – 2017).
Dr. Hermann received an Approbation as Physician 1978, an Accreditation as Specialist Obstetrics and Gynecology 1986, and Nomination as Professor of Medical Faculty Dubrovnik International University (DIU) for Ultrasound Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Perinatology 2011.
Dr. Hermann was also awarded Center of Excellence in Minimal Invasive Gynecological Surgery (COEMIG) in 2012 and received the special award of Honorary Professor of Pirogov Russian Medical State University. He completed the German State Examination and American ECFMG (USA) 1977, the Facharzt fuer Frauenheilkunde und Geburtshilfe, Germany. He is a member of the Editorial Board Ian Donald School Journal for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (DSJUOG). He had an Obstetrics and Gnyaecology Belegarzt praxis (1990 – 2003) before he became a Co-Director of Ian Donald School for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dubai branch (2010 – 2014).
Dr. Hermann worked in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine (1987 – 1989), was a flying doctor in Male, Maldives, for Flying Swiss Ambulance rescue & emergency service 1989, a Specialist and later Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology (2003 – 2013), and Head of Mother & Child Department at Welcare Hospital, Dubai (2009-2011).
Dr. Hermann was also a Consultant in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Fetal Medicine in the Fetal Medicine and Genetic Center Dubai, Dubai Health Care City (2013 – 2016), and at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai (2016 – 2017). Since the summer of 2017, he joined Al Zahra Hospital Sharjah, U.A.E. His professional medical ’wanderings’ included 3 years Radiology, 1 year General Surgery, 1 year Internal Medicine, and 3 years Obstetrics and Gynecology (1978 – 1986).
Dr. Hermann has up to 35 years of experience. His special interest is in Fetal Maternal Medicine. He is author and co-author in more than 30 peer reviewed publications and 15 book chapters. His research projects include participation in a multicenter study about four-dimensional ultrasonic assessment of Fetal Neurobehaviour with KANET (Kurjak Antenatal Neurological evaluation Test).
Dr. Hermann speaks English, German, French and Spanish.
