Al Zahra Hospital Sharjah launches “SMART LEAN Campaign” on 01st May 2019
Globally, the cost of health care is increasing very rapidly. Health care providers like clinics and hospitals, are under constant pressure to reduce the cost of operations without compromising on the Quality and Safety.
There is also a growing demand from the patients, for improving services even with reducing insurance payouts.
With an aim to commit all employees to save cost and improve efficiency, Quality and Performance Improvement Department (QPID) of Al Zahra Hospital Sharjah, organized SMART LEAN CAMPAIGN signature ceremony on 1st May 2019.
Mr Clancey Po, Director – Corporate Operations Strategy NMC, was the first one to sign this banner, followed by Mr Santhosh Skaria – General Manager, CXOs, HODs and other staff who showed their commitment to make the Hospital best in Quality, Cost efficiency and Patient experience.
Under this campaign, participating departments have been given 45 days to present their SMART LEAN posters, highlighting their plan to reduce various forms of waste, actions engaged, results achieved and strategies to sustain the benefits. Expected outcomes from this campaign at Al Zahra Hospital Sharjah are:
Improved patient safety
Increased process efficiencies
Enhanced patient experience
Increased staff satisfaction
Better space utilization within the Hospital
