Dr. Maya Mouzannar

Doctor Maya Mouzannar completed her Doctorate in Medical Sciences and received her Diploma of Pediatrics Specialty from Saint Joseph University Faculty of Medicine, Beirut, Lebanon after finishing a 4 years Pediatrics Residency training in several main hospitals in Beirut. She also underwent training in Neonatology and Pediatric emergency in France.

Dr Mouzannar ’s work experience spans for 7 years in training and working in the care of neonates, children and adolescents in several outpatient clinics and hospitals mainly Hotel Dieu de France, Clemenceau Medical Center and Bahman Hospital in Lebanon, and in Melun Hospital, France. She covered hospital duties and admitted patients to the pediatric department, neonatal intensive care unit and worked as the Emergency Department pediatrician. She was also a Consultant Pediatrician for Doctors Without Borders (Belgium), working in their Beirut southern suburb Refugee Camps Project, outpatient clinic (postnatal care).

Dr Mouzannar ’s areas of expertise are general pediatrics and adolescent medicine with focus on growth and development monitoring, immunizations, asthma, eczema, and other allergic disease, infectious disease, and pediatric nutrition and gastrointestinal disorders.

Dr. Mouzannar attended several international courses including PALS (Pediatrics Advanced Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and IPNA courses (Pediatric Nephrology).

Doctor Maya Mouzannar is a member of the Lebanese order of physicians and the Lebanese pediatric society.

Dr. Mouzannar has many publications and has attended several conferences including the American Academy of Pediatrics Congress in USA in 2014, 2015 and recently in 2018.

Dr. Mouzannar has many conferences, the most recent is concerning Electrolytes Disturbances and Dehydration as part of pediatric emergencies course, of Saint Joseph University’s Faculty of Medicine Diploma on pediatric emergencies (Beirut, Lebanon).

Dr. Mouzannar speaks Arabic, English and French.
