Dr. Salah AbdulKarim El Rai

Dr Salah has more than 14 years’ professional experience in clinical radiology. He worked as a consultant radiologist in Angers university hospital-France and head of radiology department at Shiekh Khalifa General Hospital Umm Al Quwain (MOPA-NMC). He has academic lecturing experience for medical and paramedical students in France and UAE. He is Reviewer of the American journal of radiology (AJR) and active member of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the European Society of radiology (ESR), the French Society of Radiology (SFR), the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE), the Dubai HCR- Fitness To Practice Panel (FTPP), scientific committee of the Annual radiology meeting (ARM).

Areas of expertise are:
Dr Salah has broad and reliable radiology expertise and up to date knowledge in conventional radiology, Bone densitometry (DXA), mammography (DR with DBT), General Ultrasound and Doppler studies, Obstetrical imaging (first, second and third trimester US Doppler scan as well as fetal MR), conventional cross sectional imaging, advanced CT techniques (Dual energy, spectral imaging and perfusion CT), imaging guided interventions, multi-modal MRI (diffusion, perfusion DCE and RM spectroscopy). Dr Salah has french qualifications in neuroradiology, neurovascular imaging, vascular imaging, fetal and perinatal imaging, Gynecological and breast imaging. He has also American certification in cardiac imaging (CT and MRI).

Having special interests in imaging quality improvement, he has a long list of achievements particularly in patient safety (radiation and MRI safety as well as contrast media safety measures). Dr. Salah is an active leader working closely with as local healthcare authorities in order to provide safe and patient centered radiology services.

He published over 90 national and international publications, papers and presentations at multiple conferences.
